There is a direct link between early childhood development and the quality of our economy, workforce and community culture. That’s the payoff for each of us, our businesses, our community and our world.
We can’t get that payoff, however, without business and community leaders getting behind this cause—by investing time, resources and dollars in Arizona’s children.
Be a Voice
- Become a You’re It speaker. Then take your show on the road. It doesn’t matter if you talk to one person or a whole company. Every time you share the message to invest in children you make a difference. Email us for details at speakers@youre-itaz.org.
- You can make a difference by offering support for bills and policies that impact children and families.
- As an employer/business leader, you have access to many audiences that could benefit and support the You’re It campaign. If you are interested in hosting a presentation, email us at media@youre-itaz.org.
Get Involved
- Join the board of an organization that serves children and families. As a business leader, these organizations need your skills and expertise.
- Become a member of Partners for Arizona’s Children. Our statewide organization needs business leaders like you to help develop our strategy to improve the lives of Arizona’s children.
- Organize an employee volunteer corps to support children in your area or simply put in a few hours yourself painting a classroom, cleaning a playground or reading to children at a local early education center.
- Provide parent seminars in the workplace to help provide critical information about early childhood and community resources available to families.
- Institute or enhance “family friendly” policies such as flexible scheduling, job sharing, parental leave, dependent care assistance plans, flexible benefit plans, back-up or sick child care.
Invest in Children
- Adopt an early learning center in your area that supports your employees or local residents. Provide financial support and/or educational materials and supplies to improve their programming.
- Donate/underwrite an event for a local children’s charity.
- Develop a company challenge initiative to support a specific children’s issue.
- Make a contribution to one of the many children’s organizations in our state.
- Make a donation to You’re It to help spread the word and build support for all of Arizona’s children.
